Producer Edida Nageswara Rao passes away

 

Veteran producer Edida Nageswara Rao ((81) passes away at Star Hospital, Hyderabad on Sunday. He was ailing with health problems since last few months. Although, he made only 10 films during his association with Tollywood from 1978 to 1992, each and every film produced by him was a Gem and reveals his rich taste for making classical films. He produced super hit classical movies Siri Siri Muvva, Tayaramma Banagarayya, Sankarabharanam, Seethakoka Chiluka, Sagara Sangamam, Sitaara, Swati Mutyam, Swarna Kamalam, Swayam Krushi and Aapadbandavudu.

 

He was born in Kottapeta of East Godavari district on 1934, April 24th. He was stage artist before entering the film industry. He joined the film industry as a dubbing artist. Later, he turned into producer and start making films under his Poornodaya Movie Creations. Most of his films were directed by veteran director K Vishwanath, who is also popular for making classical films.

 

His body will be kept Film Chamber Office at Film Nagar, Hyderabad for paying tributes by industry people and general public. His funerals will be conducted today evening at Hyderabad.
