The Andhra Pradesh High Court, which took up the hearing of the petition of senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar against present DGP V Dinesh Reddy, ordered the government to submit details of asstets of the DGP and his wife.

Earlier Umesh Kumar sought the court for a CBI probe into the forgery case in which Sunil Reddy, the accused, allegedly told the police that he had used the letterhead of a former MP and forged his signature at the behest of Umesh Kumar. The letter purportedly urged the Centre to order a probe into certain land transactions involving DGP Dinesh Reddy's wife. After hearing the both sides today, the court sought assets report of Dinesh Reddy couple from the government.
