He categorically declared that the MIM has always been committed to an united Andhra Pradesh and it still is. He said that his party will not in any circumstances agree for making Hyderabad a union territory or a common capital, in the event carving out a separate Telangana state becomes inevitable.

Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi spoke at length about the loss and hardships people of the state, particularly in the Telangana region suffered due to Telangana agitation and the non co-operation movement by the TEJAC. He also questioned the Congress party at the Centre why it is procastinating the Telangana issue for so long. In today's debate, Mr. Akbaruddin was the only member who raised the problems faced by the public, while others utilized their allotted time to brickbat.
