Rahul Gandhi has once again raised his voice in severe tone. This time, it was the excise duty on non-silver jewellery that has been the issue of his concern. Rahul Gandhi has today joined the protests by the Jewellers at Jantar mantar in Delhi. Addressing to the jewellers who have been protesting over the one percent excise duty being imposed on jewellery, he assured them that they are not alone. “It’s not your fight alone, it’s ours too.

 

Me and the Congress party stand with you,” he said. Rahul Gandhi went on to mock the ‘Make In India’ campaign saying that it would only benefit a few big shots in the economy. He criticised that government is trying to choke the small businessmen through excise duty. `This is not excise duty, this is an assassination attempt on you’ said Mr.Gandhi.
