Hyderabad communal riots: With the situation in communally-sensitive areas of old city - Madannapet and Saidabad coming back to normalcy, the police have announced lifting of curfew for a day. The curfew would be lifted for 24 hours from 6 am Monday to 6 am Tuesday, police said, adding that the situation is completely peaceful.

Indefinite curfew was imposed in two police station limits on April 8 after alleged desecration of a religious place which led to communal disturbances. However, prohibitory orders under section 144 are to still continue within the limits of 14 police stations around Charminar, told the sources.
