Mogudu Movie Story
Anjeneya Prasad (Rajendra Prasad) is a hard working farmer who carves his way out and receives Rashtra Prathi award. He wants his son Bujji (Gopichand) to enter into wedlock but his efforts go in vain. Finally, Bujji spots Raja Rajsewari (Taapsee), both fall in love and eventually get married with the consent of their families. However, their families enter into a tiff after their marriage forcing the couple to take divorce. Why did the families enter into fiasco? And how did Bujji and Raja Rajsewari reunite eventually forms the story.

Analysis
Sometime back someone said that hero Gopichand is looking for a script on the lines of ‘Ninne Pelladutha’. Luckily Gopichand got the director who directed that film but was not lucky enough to get such a script. Mogudu movie gives you true colors of unfinished script and sordid screenplay coupled with irrational glam show. The movie is an absolute crap where director Krishna Vamsi was trying to put old wine in the new bottle.

How can you imagine someone as “creative” as Krishna Vamsi come up with such a poor plot line? People got sick of seeing such treatment and narration where families enter into heated arguments erupting senseless violence and again coming back to the melodrama angle.  There are so many screenplay bloopers and the emotions amongst the characters in the film change instantly – much before audience realize that it’s a transformation of the character. Ohh God!  Mogudu movie suffers from fundamental flaws making life difficult for the audience. The first half of the movie was bearable but the second half makes things from bad to worst as Krishna Vamsi literally tests the endurance of the audience.

TeluguOne Perspective
Mogudu movie comes with decent expectations. With reputed director holding the megaphone, everyone thought that there would something in store but, ironically, Mogudu has become “Mogudu” for audience. Krishna Vamsi, who himself is a master in screenplay failed miserably to weave a family script. It’s been long time since Krishna Vamsi made a film targeting families and Mogudu was the best shot he can have. But looking at the way Mogudu has come out, perhaps Krishna Vamsi needs to reassess making such a movie.  Vamsi has once again come up with a mediocre script and fumble at the storytelling level.

Performances
Gopichand was trying to be very natural but at no point he gave a worthy performance. He was trying to showcase his body more than his dialogues or performance.  BTW whose idea was that?

Taapsee has done well. She’s really getting better with films and for the first time she has done a performance oriented character. Taapsee has shown lot of maturity in this movie and proved that she’s poised for higher honors. Shraddha Das did justice to her character but she looks manly rather sensual.  Rajendra Prasad and Naresh were adequate but Roja was playing too smart. Songs are neither peppy nor melodious and re-recording is a total mismatch. Given Mogudu’s output, the talk would be negative and the rating will also be poor!

Final Word
When was the last time you saw a good film for the first time? I hope Mogudu shouldn’t be on your wish list!

Rating: 2/5
