The story takes place because of one MLA Akula Appa Rao's (Jayaprakash Reddy) son (Krishnudu) falling in love with Lavanya (Shraddha Arya), who is daughter of a beggar Anjigadu (AVS). Krishnudu is Apparao's only son and has been studying in degree for the past several years. His classmate Lavanya completes her studies and becomes a lecturer in the same college. Krishnudu loves Lavanya. Apparao, who doesn't like his only son falling in love with the daughter of a beggar, gets beggar Anji beaten by his goons. At that time elections are in the offing and Krishnudu makes Anjigadu alias Koneru Anjaneyulu contest the elections against his father Apparao. What happens therafter is the remaining story.
Analysis :
Though all the beggars in this movie look like real beggars, the daughter of one of them appearing with full makeup and costly dresses, is ridiculous. Flick's first half lacks the grip, while second half is a bit better. Even though it is third movie for AVS as director, he failed to impress the audience with his directorial skills. Krishnudu's acting is as usual and Shraddha Arya did her part as is to be done. Jayaprakash Reddy is impressive in MLA's role. Others did justice to their roles.
TeluguOne Perspective :
If you want to see AVS' satires on current politics interspersed with a laughter here and there, watch it.
