Did KCR made self-goal on OU lands?

It seems Telangana Chief Minister has made a self-goal by announcing that his government will build two-bed room flats for the poor in the 11 acres of land that belongs to Osmania University. OU students, who are strongly protesting his decision, have given a bandh call for OU today. They also burnt his effigy and vow to continue their fight till CM KCR revokes his idea. Opposition parties also strongly opposed his announcement and described his ruling as dictatorship. They also vow to resist any such plans.

However, CM KCR is reportedly stated that he is a man, who will never step back once taken a decision on any matter. He justified his decision stating “This is not an era of kings’ rule and hence the educational institutions like don’t need vast piece of lands to run the institutions. After all, what is wrong in utilizing the vacant lands of the educational institutions for providing shelter to the poor people?”

He vows that he will definitely build houses for the poor in the OU lands. He alleges that some students are making this as a big issue, because some opposition parties are provoking them from behind. Obliviously, his reaction makes the students fume upon him. They suggest him to build houses for the poor in his own farm house in Medak district instead of clinching the OU lands. Opposition parties also have made similar suggestions to him.

Although, his intention is good his idea to take the OU lands has back fired at him. His announcement may make the poor people very happy, but it rages the hot blooded students of OU. Knowing that throwing challenge to the students is nothing but inviting fresh troubles, CM KCR has reiterates his decision. Obviously, his reply rages the students and also provides a good weapon to the opposition parties.
