T-RTC to go on indefinite strike

The first victims in Samaikyandhra and Telangana agitations are students and RTC. While students of both regions are silently suffering the ill-effects of the agitations till today, RTC is virtually in collapsing stage. Whenever, tensions escalates in any place, RTC Buses become the soft target for attacks and to avert damage, thousands of buses have to be confined to depots for weeks and sometimes even for months. Hence, RTC in both regions is knotted with huge losses and struggling for its survival. As long as it showers money, the government is also kind enough with RTC employees and considers for wage revisions, but not when it is in collapsing stage.

Hence, the RTC Employees Unions in Telangana region have decided to go for an indefinite strike from January 3rd, if the state government fails to implement the agreement that they had with Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on 4th July. RTC Employees Unions- EU and TMU representatives K.Padmakar and E.Aswathama Reddy will serve indefinite strike notice to government on Friday.
