For a perfect Resume

Everybody loves to have a good job and Resume often acts like a passport for securing such position. People often treat the creation of Resume as a mere formality, but experts claim that Resume writing is a skill. Because, people who hire us come to know about us only through our Resume! Here are a few tried and tested tips in preparing a nice and perfect resume....

Highlight

The busy HR managers won’t have much time to go through every Resume thoroughly. So try to highlight the important facts that you wish to attract them. Use wide margins and readable font size. Apply bold letters, Italics or underlines to create emphasis over certain factors.

Change your Resume

People often continue to use the same Resume for different jobs on different occasions. It would always be better to change our Resume as per the job we are applying for. Further various job positions and various fields require varied capabilities. A little bit of Googling would give us some idea about the company we are applying for... and it’s better to alter our resume as per the working and requirement of that firm.

Achievement and Talents

Mere description of qualifications and past experience might not help these days. People love to know your achievements and capabilities. So it’s better to list out or summarize your past achievements and success. It would also be interesting for an employer to know the extra talents you possess such as typing, expertise in hardware, proficiency in a foreign language etc. that can be of practical use at some point of your service.

Proofread

We always tend to make some mistakes in typing and sentence formation. We as the first person who has compiled the resume might not be aware of such errors, but they would glare at those who read them. So it would always be better to read the resume once and again. It would be more helpful if you take the help of an elder in finding any faults in your Resume. Make sure that your Resume is free from childish errors.

Be Honest

The best policy of being honest works for our Resumes as well. HR’s are often capable of finding the faults and fallacies hidden within the Resume. Further we have to face tough time at the interview to justify the claims laid in our Resume. So, let our Resume represent our true character and right statistics.

Finally, let’s beware that it’s not the length of the Resume that attracts the employer, but the information delivered through it... and that should be the key in forming a Resume.
