Senior IAS officer and former APIIC MD, BP Acharya, who is currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail Emaar Properties case, fainted and fell down. Immediately the prison doctors attended and revived him. The doctors told that Acharya's BP fell down drastically and he suffered a mild stroke also.

The jail authorities on advice of the doctors, shifted Acharya to Osmania Hospital, where he is being given treatment. It is not yet beeen decided whether he would be shifted to some corporate hospital or will be kept in Osmania further.
