This variety of tea has touched the selling price of Rs. 501 per Kg in the market creating a record of its own in the history. In an auction, 9 sacks of Broken Pekoe (BP) CTC (crush, tear and curl) tea belonging to Halmari Tea Estate shattered the Rs-500-a-kilogram barrier for CTC tea.
