PRP Insists on Key-portfolios to Newly Inducted Ministers

Two legislators from the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP), after almost a year since merging with Congress Party, have been inducted in to the state cabinet today. A while ago, C ramachandraiah and Ghanta Srinivasa Rao of erstwhile PRP were sworn-in as cabinet ministers by the AP Governor ESL Narasimhan in a brief ceremony at Raj Bhavan.
According to reliable sources, it is learned that, both the newly inducted ministers are expecting key-portfolios in the government. As of now, chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is handling additional charge of Power and Commercial Taxes ministries. Apart from that, Textile ministry is also going to fall vacant with P Shankar Rao been dropped from the cabinet. Out of these three, PRP is eying the two key-portfolios Power and Commercial Taxes for its members, it is said.
