Since then hundreds of policemen were searching for him in Kondapalli forest and he still remains untraced. Finally, the police have decided to stop combing operations from Wednesday.

The police, however, decided to maintain vigil at all entrances leading to the Kondapalli forest area. Guntur urban crime DSP T Ravichandra said 45 police personnel and 25 hunters took part in the search operations on Tuesday. ‘"We will not take up combing operations from Wednesday, but police forces will be deployed at all routes that will lead to the Kondapalli forest," he added. It may be mentioned that home guards, trainee constables, civil police and armed reserve police forces participated in the search operations along with the anti-naxal squad.
