రాష్ట్రంలో పలు జిల్లాల ప్రజలు వరద ముంపుకు గురై అవస్థలు పడుతుంటే ప్రధాని రాష్ట్రంలో పర్యటించకపోవడం సిగ్గుచేటని చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు మండిపడ్డారు. వరద పోటెత్తి ప్రజలు ఇబ్బందులు పడుతుంటే ముఖ్యమంత్రి, ఇతర మంత్రులు ఢిల్లీలో మీనమేషాలు లెక్కించడం సరికాదన్నారు. రాష్ట్రాన్ని అనేక సార్లు వరద ముంచెత్తితే కేంద్రం నుంచి నిధులు తీసుకురావడంలో మంత్రులు, ఎంపీలు విఫలమయ్యారని ఆరోపించారు. ముంపునకు గురైన గ్రామాలను పరిశీలించారు.
