Poha and Oats Idli



Once the festival ends we feel guilty for eating too many sweets and too much oily food. The remedy to come out of this guilt or heavy feeling is eat right and eat light. Try this Poha and Oats idli

Ingredients :


* 1/2 cup Oats
* 1/2 cup poha
* 1/2 sp mustered seeds
* 1/2 sp urad dal
* 1 big onion
* Green chillies and salt according to taste
* Curry leaves and coriander leaves 

Method:

1)Take bowl mix poha and oats,Sprinkle some warm water and salt on it. Mix it and let it soak for 5 minutes.

2) Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds once they splutter add urad dal.

3)Fry the urad dal till golden brown,then add the chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves and saute.

4. Add the soaked oats and poha mix to this.Sprinkle some grated coconut and mix everything together.

5. If needed add more salt and sprinkle some more water if required. Cook it for just couple of minutes and switch off.
Make sure that the mixture should be sticky and moist enough to be able to form balls and  not very soggy.

6. Make lemon sized balls out of this.

7. Steam it  using idli plates for about 7 minutes. Take it out sprinkle coriander and serve hot with some coconut chutney.
