An Iran pawnbroker was amazed when a young couple came into his shop loaded with what seemed to be every electrical appliance they owned and pledged them for cash.

The couple looked reasonably well – to – do. They came back a fortnight later to redeem the goods.

The couple explained that they had been on holiday, and with a spate of robberies in their area, they hadn’t wanted to leave their valuables at home, even though they were insured, so they preferred to put them in your safe custody.
