Samantha Ruth Prabhu was born April 28, 1987 to a Malayalee mother and a Telugu father. She was brought up in Tamil Nadu and Samantha has set her eyes on modeling at a very early age.

Samantha has long back signed Ravi Varman's Moscowin Kaveri in 2007, but it was delayed. Eventually in 2010, Samantha tasted success with Ye Maaya Chesave, directed by Gautham Menon and produced by Indiran Productions. Samantha shared screen space with Naga Chaitanya. Samantha became a teen sensation in AP after Ye Maaya Chesave super hit. Her second movie was Brindavanam (2010) where she was paired with Jr. NTR and Kajal.
