Tips for a bright Diwali

We all love shopping and look for an opportunity to go out and spend for ourselves and our house. Along with the retail therapy we do for ourselves, we also get extreme happiness and satisfaction when we see our house looking more beautiful and good looking than ever.

What if we can get this done, even without spending much or spending for the same things time and again? Your happiness increases in multiple folds…. am I right? Here are few tips for you to brighten up your Diwali, still being most economical.

• When you are buying decorative items like curtains, sofa covers, flower vases for the festival, try to be more organized in safe guarding the festive stuff and recycle them to use for the next occasion.

• Prepare a set for Diwali, which will be exclusively designed with all the bright colours. Use shimmer Net cloth (generally used while making bouquet) and hang them around your curtain rods and decorate the rods with some door hangings to give a great look to the walls.

• While decorating your house with Special diyas which are decorated with kundans, mirrors and other threads, never ever pour oil in them and light them. Instead, use them as it is for decoration and compliment with flowers. By doing this, you can reuse them for the next season by preserving them somewhere in the attic.

• Use the regular diyas to light the lamp and place them in and around the house. Since these are not a expensive ones, you can throw them out if they become black when absorb oil and burn for several hours.

• Instead of throwing, you can as well renovate them to use for coming year by painting them, pasting kundans and other decorative material available in your child’s craft kit. Remember, festival is not about spending lavishly; wisely using the resources can surely brighten your house on the festive day and your lives through out.

Enjoy!! Have a great Diwali!!
