Karthikeya 2 Review: Karthikeya is back with a Bang

Story:

Dr. Karthikeya (Nikhil) is a rational individual who seeks scientific explanations for superstitions. Karthikeya pursues an incident to highlight an interesting point about Lord Krishna. At this point, Mugdha (Anupama Parameswaran) and Srinivasa Reddy are in trouble due to gangs seeking for Lord Krishna's jewels. What challenges did Karthikeya encounter after that? What adventure awaited him after that? The true plot of the film is what he learned about Lord Krishna during this process.

Analysis:

Karthikeya 2, the sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya, has been widely awaited since its beginning.  A major plus point is that director Chandoo Mondeti gets the story lead when he comes to the sequel. The audience gets more connected to the story as it progresses. The new elements were highlighted by a fresh backdrop. During the interval, the team was also successful in keeping the audience interested in the block. The elevated moments in the second half regarding Lord Krishna were equally remarkable. The first half of the film centres around Dwarka and a hidden society seeking Lord Krishna-related ornaments. The majority of the situations in the second half are linked to those in the first half, and the adventure continues.

There are numerous distinctions between Karthikeya and Karthikeya 2. The first part was a spoof horror, a short thriller with solid mystery aspects. It appears to have been improved in every way in the sequel. The mystery adventure genre is prominently featured. On the other side, the director who conveyed some truths brought out the spiritual feeling really well. He delivered an excellent presentation without divulging any sensitive topics. This is thought to be highly commercially beneficial for the response curve to Hindu films.

Furthermore, it has the potential to be a good pan-India film. Nikhil's performance as Karthikeya is outstanding. His gestures in the second half adventure scenes are particularly impressive. On the other hand, the heroine Anupama's role was underutilised. And the rest of them played great in their roles. This film's background music excels in maintaining the intensity. Some of the standout scenes deserve special mention since Kaala bhairava's soundtrack lifted them to new heights. Apart from some predictable scenes and unnecessary characters, there isn't much to criticise about the film. However, there are several sequences in the early half that appear a little boring. Finally, it can be stated that Karthikeya will be a film that will do well at the box office this holiday season.
