No, Rahman's Film Not Nominated For Oscars

Popular Indian composer AR Rahman is in the news again. It is being publicised that the Iranian film "Muhammad" for which he composed music is being nominated for "Best Foreign Film" Oscar. Actually the truth is something else.
Like the way India has chosen Marathi movie "Court" as India's entry for Oscar nomination, even the country of Iran has selected "Muhammad" in the same way. Most likely 90 countries will send their selections every year and only 5 among them will get nominated. So, Rahman's film is not yet nominated for any Oscar, but it's just selected by parent country. Oscar nominations will be announced in upcoming February 2016. That's the true story folks.
