on Nov 29, 2022
Naga Babu is a well-known actor who also works as a producer. In his long career, naga Babu has bankrolled a number of films, including Rudhraveena, Mugguru Monagallu, Trinetrudu, Bavagaru Bagunnara, Gudumba Shankar, Stalin, and Orange. Some of them were successes, while others were failures. However, Naga Babu's financial situation was exacerbated by the failure of ram Charan's Orange. It took him years to get back on his feet after the losses he suffered with that film. Naga Babu didn't dare to make another film after Orange.
Orange is a 2010 film directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by Nagendra Babu under Anjana Productions banner. Starring Ram Charan and Genelia D'Souza, the film delves into the life of a youngster Ram who is betrayed in love, falls in love with Jaanu but hesitates to marry her. The narrative takes turn when Ram realises that he is genuinely in love with Jaanu and promises her a lifetime relationship.
Over these years, the movie has grown to be a feel-good entertainer, has been watched by people over and over again and continues to be discussed even today. But when the film released back in 2010, it was a flop at the box office - this can perhaps be attributed to the fact that people have often found it challenging to accept movies that walked a different path. Though the film failed to strike a chord at the box-office, Ram Charan and Genelia D'Souza's performances in the film were praised unanimously.
The songs from the movie have received a lot of appreciation from the audience. On its completion of twelve years, fans of the actor have flooded social media with posts appreciating this timeless celluloid and asking the producer for re release.
Naga Babu responded to all these requests and announced that film will be re released on a great ocassion. Now all Orange fans eagerly waiting to experience the classic love story in theatres.
