Vashi Mohan is a committed scientist. Robo is the resultant of his 10 years hardwork. When Vashi Mohan takes forward his proposal for Government approval there his guru,Bora (Dany) who is in the Government's committee throws a spanner in the work of Vamshi and comes in the way of Vamshi from getting Govt.approval for his Robo. Dany's real intention is to sell the Robo to terrorists through his agent,Sharmingar. Vashi's creation,Robo does an oustanding job in protecting the lives of many people in a fire mishap. In the process, Robo pulls out a naked lady who got trapped whilst taking bath in the nearby spot of the incident. Felt outraged at this, the lady ends her life. Taking advantage of this, Dany tries to pacify Vamshi reasoning that "Robo is a machine and as such it does not carry any emotional feelings. Instead of giving it to the government you will be better off giving it to me as it is next to impossible securing the government's consent for his Robo. Subsequently,Vashi takes up it as a challenge to misprove the theory that the machine too has emotional feelings. Then he infuses human qualities like anger,enthusiasm,happiness into Robo so that it can understand itself the emotions of human beings. As a result, Robo falls in love with Sana(heroine) who is already loved by the scientist. The scientist is disgraced due to Robo's love story version whilst presenting the good work of Robo to the military. Perturbed over this, the scientist,Vamshi puts it down in the dustbin. Bora plucks out the Robo from the dustbin and attaches "Red Chip" to the Robo after repairing it. Immediately after being resurrected, the Robo proceeds to the marriage hall and attacks the scientist who is getting ready to tie the knot with Sana. In the process,the scientist gets kidnapped by the Robo. Further, Chitti,the character name of Robo not only kills Bora after creating 100 such Robos of itself. Robo creates an exclusive den for itself and is after Sana craving for her love. What did the scientist do then.....? The rest of the story hinges on how Vashi succeeded in bringing the Robo under his control.
Analysis :
Director,Shanker is known for touching upon social theme right from his first film to the latest 9th film(Robo). Shanker dwells at length the consequences of mixing up the tehnology with human elements. It must be said that the Indian film industry has a diamond in Shanker.We can confidently put it as the movie is on par with the hollywood standards when it comes to technical aspect. The interval bang is excellent. Robo helping a lady giving birth to her during the delivery stage. The big message given by the Robo towards the climax stages of the movie is a catchy one. It says: "I am polluted by a Red Chip. I feel I am better off not to have been born as a man as human beings move around with many red chips like jealosy,envy,deception. " The director has taken care to project every frame of the movie in a fine manner.Shanker has performed great feat to give fillip to his thoughts.Hats off to his guts. The movie was made with 1500 computer graphics using the technology in the Hollywood movie "Avatar". The movie was released across the world with 2250 prints at an expenditure of Rs.150 cr. We can easily make out the range of the movie. The celluloid of the movie reflects the quality of the movie that every paisa what the spectator spends on watching this movie feels happy. It would have been nice had the second half too been as good as the first half. Neverthless there can never be any doubt that the movie is a super hit one. There can be no comparison between the polluted Robo and the scientist,Rajnikanth. Rajnikanth is such an actor who needs no elevation about his acting style as he has been in the film field for the last 30 years. Heroine Aishwara Rai has tried to justify her character given her insignificant role. Likewise, the rest of the characters also tried to live up to their potential. composed songs are all good in the movie rather than hearing them outside. Also,rerecording is quite good.Extraordinary camera work. There cannot be better appreciation pared to believe me, then you yourself have the pleasure of watching this movie.

Editing - Just like the other sections of the movie, this one too reflects the good job done by the great Anthony.Dialogues - These are really good and don't give the impression that they are the dubbing version.Songs - Literary-wise,music-wise the songs are really audible.Art - Excellent Choreography - Each song of the movie vies with another one.Action - Sky is the limit. This is all we can say.Overall, the movie is a real pleasant one to watch out.
