Dare devil Kadapa lad Satya Reddy's (Nagarjuna)mother is a doctor, who does service to the poor people through her hospital. A local Reddy, contesting in elections, kidnaps her daughter and puts pressure on her to support him. But she refuses to lend support and her son (Satya Reddy) rescues his sister. Realizing that goondaism will not serve his purpose, Reddy turns to legal battle as the land and building of the hospital were given to the doctor by his father without proper documentation. Reddy takes advantage of this and gets the court order against the doctor - either to vacate the premises or pay an amount of 87 crore rupees. Satya vows to get that money and comes to Hyderabad. All this is revealed to us only in the second half of the movie. What Satya does after coming to Hyderabad...? How did he manage to pool up such a huge amount...., forms the rest of the story.
Analysis :
One thing can be said certainly that the flick has bailed out it's director Veeru Potla from the prevalent 'second-flick-sentiment' (almost all the new directors' second movie was a flop in the past) in the industry. Veeru didn't venture to go for any experiments, but took a routine story, designed a new kind of character for Nagarjuna, utilized glamor of both the heroines to the optimum level and with the help of a good screenplay steered the movie to achieve its purpose. First half of the film is packed with full entertainment and main story has been touched only in its second half. At no place the the director got deviated in to trivial things and succeeded in making it a simple and enjoyable movie.Acting: Nagarjuna looks more glamorous in this movie than in "Kedi" and "King". Whatever be the secret of his glamor, Nag looks very youthful in the movie. Moreover, his dances and fights too are more speedy than in the past. His walking-style, arrogant disposition and the body-language make him altogether a new man on the screen. Heroines Anushka and Priyamani vied with each other in romancing Nag on-screen. Villains are aplenty in this movie and nothing is new in their performance that's to be mentioned particularly. Bramhanandam's comedy sparkled in the role of a person who imagines himself as too superior and great. In the cinema shooting scene, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam and master Bharath's sidesplitting 'Sermon' makes the audience go wild with laughter.
TeluguOne Perspective :
Music: All the songs in this movie are good which is evident by the Triple Paltinum Disc function held yesterday. The songs, clubbed with visuals have become more lively on the screen. Re-recording is exceptionally good, it elevates the mood of each and every scene in the movie.Cinematography: Very good. The stars in the movie looked more glamorous because of Sarvesh Murari's camera-work. Lighting scheme is also good. His workmanship excelled in songs and fights also.Dialogues: Since director Veeru Potla himself has penned the dialogues, he chose the short, straight and apt ones. Comedy-punch in the dialogues is also plentiful, as in for instance, Bramhanandam says to Nag 'nee medadu single theater vantidi... na medadu I-max theater vantidi, Okesaari naalugu cinemalu aaduthayi'. Nagarjuna's dialogue with Dev Gill - 'englishlo oka saametha vundi... ye aayudhamtho thirigevaadu ade aayudhamtho chasthaadani' and 'nacchithe cheruggada..lekapothe ragada' suit aptly to the situation.Lyrics: There's no doubt in saying that the songs of this movie will certainly enthrall the youth. Ramajogayya Sastry alone has penned all the songs and it's a specialty. Announcement by the flick's producer that Ramajogayya Sastry alone will be providing lyrics for all his forthcoming movies and hero Nagarjuna also speaking in praise of Ramajogayya Sastry clearly shows what sort of a talented lyricist he is.Editing: Editing is very neat and crisp, without any extra shots that keeps the frame-to-frame tempo in the movie.Art: Very nice. Particularly in songs, the sets are a feast for the eyes.Choreography: Though not so fantastic, but the choreography in all of its songs is good.Action: Mass audience will really have a festival time watching the fight sequences in the movie. There's lot of action in it for those who like action very much."This flick is likely to be a hit movie for Nagarjuana after a long gap. It's completely a out and out mass film. It's plentiful of entertainment and can be watched boldly."
