Ingredients:

1 cup Whole urad dal
1/2 cup Rajma
1/2 cup Chana dal
1 Onion finely chopped
1 inch ginger finely chopped
2-3 cloves garlic finely chopped
½ teaspoon red chili powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp dry kasuri meethi
3 tablespoon butter
2 to 3 tablespoon cream
Pinch of hing
salt as required

Method:

Soak the urad dal, chana dal and rajma in enough water overnight or for 8-9 hours. Drain and then add them in a pressure cooker. Add 4 cups water, salt, turmeric powder and pressure cook on high or medium flame for 12-15 whistles. Now in a pan add butter, to it add cumin seeds, once they spluter them. Add hing, paste, red chilli powder, Coriander powder and saute till oil seprated. Then add boiled lentils. Now simmer the flame and cooked for 2 min. After that add fresh cream and kasuri meethi.

serve the dal makhani hot plain or topped with some butter or cream along with rotis, naan, paratha or plain or jeera rice.
