Ashok Babu sings chorus with CM Kiran

APNGOs president Ashok Babu and his panel members were forced to face Basheer panel backed by YSR Congress party in the recent elections. However, Ashok Babu Panel is reelected and he secures his President post with overwhelming majority. Obviously, it boosts his spirits and makes his voice harder than ever. Unlike previous times, he aims his guns directly onto YSR Congress party and warned its MLAs not to disrupt the house proceedings.   Speaking to media he said “We condemn the way YCP MLAs are behaving in the Assembly. While they are claiming that they are fighting to keep the state united, they are behaving otherwise in the house. If they really oppose bifurcation, then they should participate in the T-Bill debate in the house and record their objections on the bill, instead of disrupting the house proceedings demanding for resolution on Samaikyandhra. If they continue to disrupt the house proceedings, then we have to chalk out an action plan particularly for them to protest their behavior in the house. Unless, all Seemandhra members participate in the debate and raise objections on the bill, it will be approved by the President and forwarded to parliament in its present shape. So, we appeal all Seemandhra MLAs to participate in the debate and reflect the views of the people in the house.”   Earlier, many politicians including Chiranjeevi, Killi Kripa Rani have sharply criticized Ashok Babu for dictate terms to peoples’ representatives. They warn him not to cross his limits. But, after his reelection, he hardens his tone and also giving warnings to them. His every statement is clearly echoing CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s voice. In fact, he appears to be playing glove for CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.

When will Cong present T-Bill in parliament?

Congress high command seems to be playing hide and seek game on bifurcation issue. It doesn’t want to let its rivals especially BJP know about its plans on this issue until last minute, because it is not relying upon it anymore.   Earlier, Home Minister Susheel Kumar Shinde assured that if the T-bill can’t be presented in the winter sessions of the parliament, then special sessions will be summoned. But now, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath announced that parliament sessions will begin from February second week and continue for 15 days, in which vote on account, Railways Budget and some pending bills will be cleared. However, he is not sure when will be the T-bill presented in the parliament. So, it is not clear whether Congress high command is planning to summon special sessions for presenting the T-bill or present it during budget sessions.   If, it summons special sessions and fails to approve the T-bill, then the UPA government may collapse for losing the parliament confidence. Therefore, Congress may first pass general and Railways budgets and then extend the budget sessions for presenting T-bill. In such case, it can escape with less damage. Even if UPA government collapse due to failure of passing the T-bill, it makes no difference for it because, by that time elections bell will ring and therefore President will ask it to run the interim government until elections verdict comes out. Then it can transferring blame on to BJP, even while continuing in the government.

AAP to contest all over India

Aam Admi party leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Prashanth Bhushan after having a meeting with party representatives from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Haryana and Tamilnadu at New Delhi on Saturday, held a press meet to reveal their future political activities.   They have announced that AAP will contest for maximum number of seats in the forthcoming Parliament selections. Within next 15 days, AAP will release the first list of their party candidates. Later, AAP will hold meetings across the country and handpick its candidates for the elections. Candidates with any criminal or corruption records will not be given party tickets. Party will cross check the records of each aspirant before conforming ticket to him.   Each and every constituency will have their own manifestos that meet the demands of the local people. AAP will announce its Prime Minister candidate only after the verdict. AAP is contesting elections only to provide an alternative to BJP and Congress parties and not for cutting into the vote bank of any parties.   AAP main agenda is eliminating corruption and providing good governance that works as per the peoples’ wishes. AAP is not thinking about either Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi’s influence on the people, because the basic concept of AAP is very much different to both their parties. They said that there is equal and overwhelming response to the party both urban and rural areas of the country, after seeing the performance of Delhi government.

Gadde returns to TDP

Former Cheepurupalli MLA and TDP leader Gadde Babu Rao has left the party criticizing there is no recognition for him in the party. But, he returned to TDP making the same allegations against YSR Congress party. He joins TDP in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu on Friday.   Chandrababu has welcomed back into party as he is one of a strong leaders in Vizianagaram district. He hopes that his return to party may not only help to maintain the political balance in the district but also can overpower Botsa Satyanarayana and YSR parties. Gadde Babu Rao said some more leaders from YCP are likely to follow his path very soon, as they lack the backing of the party even while Botsa group is posing a big challenge to them. Former minister and senior TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that Babu Rao’s return to party will definitely give an edge to TDP in the district.   Chandrababu on his admission into party said “Now Botsa Satyanarayana may have to look for some other constituency to improve his electoral chances as it is highly impossible for him to take-upon Babu Rao, who enjoys a good support of the people in his constituency.”   Although, Botsa Satyanarayana is quite confident of winning the elections, his reputation is badly damaged after he supports bifurcation of the state. It is reflected with the attacks on his properties by Samaikyandhra activists two months ago. So, Chandrababu’s opinion is justified about TDP’s victory in the district.

Chiranjeevi lunch meeting with PRP MLAs

After PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana confirmed defection of 25-30 Congress MLAs to other parties very soon, Congress high command appears to be pressed the panic button and in no time one of its rescue team members in the state-Chiranjeevi has jumped into action. Today he has arranged a lunch meeting for his former PRP and present Congress MLAs at Hyderabad.   Although, he asserts that he is opposing bifurcation of the state and even sacrificed his Union Minister post for it, he asked his MLAs to respect and obey the high command’s decision of bifurcation. He told them it is time for all of them to stand by Congress party and ensure its victory in the upcoming elections. But, instead of listening to him, they have educated him about their and party position in the region in bifurcation context. Many of them, who are planning to jump into TDP or YSRCP have made it clear that continuing in Congress party is politically suicidal for them. However, they have agreed to take an appropriate decision at an appropriate time in near future. Probably, by the time Chiranjeevi plans next lunch meeting, many of them may find themselves in rival parties.   Minister Ganta Srinivasa rao and four MLAs from Vizag are just waiting for a signal from TDP. Trimurtulu and Vanga Geeta are also said to be in touch with TDP. So, instead of asking them to cling to Congress party, better Chiranjeevi would have enquired them about which party would be safe for him and who will offer him a party ticket?
