JC offers Volvo Bus for support!

It is not known whether the show-cause-notice served to JC Diwakar Reddy has been withdrawn or he was excused or kept on hold for a while. But, JC seems to returns to his usual form and gearing up to contest for Rajya Sabha elections.   He said “I am in the race only to make our high command realize how much support we enjoy. I have at least 40 members support. So, I am in the race for Rajya Sabha seat.”   During a casual chitchat with MLAs KTR and Akbaruddeen at Assembly premises today he said that he will give Volvo Bus, if they vote for him. Another Congress MLA Ugra Narasimha Reddy, who is also present around asked him if he is really serious about the offer?” and the reply is Yes.   The matter somehow leaked and when PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana warned that he will disqualify if vote for him, Ugra Narasimha Reddy giving explanation said “It is just a joke. After all, what will I do with Volvo Bus? Maintaining a Volvo is not that easy task.”   Later, JC said Why should I offer Volvo bus to anyone, when I have sufficient number of MLAs supporting my candidature? If at all, I have to offer Volvo bus to my enemies to ensure their support to me but not to my supporters.”   But, all this discussion reveals that to get a MLA support will cost an Volvo Bus or say its equivalent amount anywhere between Rs.80 lakhs to 1 crore. If, so for winning a Rajya Sabha seat one must have at least 40 MLAs support, which means 40 Volvo buses or Rs. 40 crore! If so, what could be the cost of Lok Sabha, MLA and MLC seats and how much returns can be expected for the investment?

CM Kiran begins speech in Assembly

Hardly one day left for returning the T-bill to President. So, all are waiting for President’s response to the letter written by state government seeking one month more time. It is expected that President’s office will inform his decision tonight, otherwise the debate on the bill is to be concluded tomorrow and bill is to be returned along with the proposals made by members of state Assembly, within two or three days. Therefore, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is speaking in the house today.   He tried to explain about some historical decisions, statements of Jawaharlal Nehru and developments that lead to creation of Andhra Pradesh state, but his speech is disrupted by TRS leaders. Minister K Jana Reddy has asked whether CM is opposing bifurcation of the state as an individual or party man. He said Kiran shouldn’t assume that all the members in the house are opposing the bill.   CM Kiran replied, “I lived all my life as Congress leader and got this post only because of party and Sonia Gandhi. I have never expected that I have to face a situation to decide between party and the people. Many think that I am quite fortunate to be CM of the state, but it is not true. I feel very unfortunate to witness the bifurcation of the state as CM.”   Sharply reacting to BJP leader Nagam Janardan Reddy’s remarks, CM Kiran said “I have never changed my stand in my life and will not change it like you.” TRS leaders are making hue and cry, when CM is quoting the statements and historical events related to Andhra Pradesh state and its formation.

BJP plans to trap Congress on T-Bill

From the day one BJP has been assuring of its unconditional support to T-bill in Parliament. However, no one including Congress is ready to believe its assurances, because supporting the T-bill will no way helpful to it in Telangana, instead it will strengthen Congress party only. So, BJP and Congress parties are playing Tom and Jerry game over passing the T-bill in Parliament.   However, BJP seems is gearing-up for final show by suddenly roping-in its Seemandhra leaders for conducting a rally at New Delhi two days ago, in which its senior leader M.Venakaih Naidu has come clear over his party stand. Quoting the length wish-list submitted by his Seemandhra leaders, he said “They are rightful demands and need to be addressed in the T-bill. Although, we want the Centre create Telangana state, we will propose certain amendments to the T-bill to ensure safeguard the interests of Seemandhra people. Irrespective of our political interests, we will sincerely try to justify both regions in the T-bill.”   Hence, it is understood that BJP is arranging an escape route for it, while cornering Congress party on the T-bill. Congress, which has already put its Seemandhra interests at stake for winning in Telangana, can’t afford to amend the T-bill in favor Seemandhra. So, BJP also can refuse to extend its support to the T-bill.   If Congress fails to create Telangana state before next general elections, definitely it will be wiped-out from Telangana also. However, if BJP declines its support to the T-bill and enter into poll alliance with TDP in Seemandhra, definitely it can expect some benefits for keeping the state unite, at least for time being.

Is BJP playing double game on Telangana?

It appears BJP is also playing double game on Telangana like Congress party is playing now. Today, BJP Seemandhra leaders have conducted a rally from Andhra Bhavan to Jantar Mantar in New Delhi protesting division of the state. BJP senior leader M.Venakaih Naidu has joined their meeting, where he sharply criticized Congress high command for untimely division of the state.   He said “If Congress is really honest, it would do these four-five years ago, instead of taking-up just before the elections. We insist for Telangana creation but not at the cost of Seemandhra peoples’ interests. People of both regions should be justified in all aspects. If, we were in Congress place, definitely we wouldn’t do like this leaving a section of people unhappy. Congress party is dividing the state not for the sake of Telangana people but for its own sake, to be particular for the sake of Rahul Gandhi.”   Venkaiah Naidu’s argument may be very correct, but about his party strong assurances given to Congress party over unconditionally supporting the T-bill in the house? Very recently, BJP official spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman has announced that BJP is still ready to extend an unconditional support to the T-bill. She demands Congress to present the T-bill in the Parliament without any delay. In this context, how Venkaiah Naidu can justify his argument? So, it appears BJP is also playing hide and seek game with Congress party over T-Bill and its rally held today may be part of its game plan.

Arvind Kejriwal warns Delhi Police

Ensuring safety and security to the women and children in Delhi is one of election promise made by Aam Admi party. However, recently two serious assaults on women takes place in New Delhi and in one case a Danish woman has been gang raped. It irks very much Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who in return seriously warns Delhi police and demands for suspending of four police officers.   Arvind Kejriwal speaking to media on Thursday said, “We demand the police suspend station house officers of the Sagarpur and Malviya Nagar police stations, who refuse to act against drug gangs, rape cases and in a case of burning a woman. Two assistant commissioners of police, who fails to make their subordinates work efficiently should also be suspended immediately.   Kejriwal alleges that the station house officer of Malviya Nagar is involved with foreign drug traffickers and also encouraging prostitution. The station house officer of Sagarpur has refused to take action against members of a family, who allegedly set their daughter-in-law on fire.   “We are demanding... we are warning Delhi Police,” said Arvind Kejriwal.   Arvind Kejriwal despite being Chief Minister of Delhi can’t take any action on Delhi police because they are under control of Delhi Lt. Governor. Hence, all he can do is demand for action against them. If, the higher officials in the police department ignore his demand, then he has to approach the Lt. Governor demanding for the same.
