Actor Simbhu’s mother upset with media and police harassment

Kollywood actor Simbhu’s mother Usha T Rajender virtually broke down with the media and police harassment of her family.   She asks “After all what did my son do? He wrote a song and recorded it privately in which some vulgar words are present which were muted with a ‘beep’ sound. He came to industry as a child artists and grown up to his present stage with the blessings of people of the state. But, just for one small mistake, police and media are hunting him as if he is a most wanted criminal. I am terribly shocked to hear some people demanding to hang him by neck. If they are so angry with him, let them hang me first as I am his mother.”   She further said “I am aware that some of his co-stars are creating all these troubles for him merely to eliminate from film industry as they couldn’t withstand competition from my son Simbhu. They should try to prove their mettle instead of playing these dirty games.”   “We are unable to bear this media and police harassment. They made us virtually cry and making us to think to leave this state forever. Is it necessary to harass a family so much? I can’t understand whom to ask for help. My son Simbhu is not absconding from police. If, they want him let me know. I will make him surrender before them. If he committed any mistake let our legal system take a decision but not the media or some individuals. If the harassment continues any further we have to leave the state,” said Simbhu’s mother Usha.   Simbhu and music director Anirudh Ravichander both went underground after cases were filed against them by the police following complaints from All India Democratic Women's Association and some individuals. They complain that the song sung by Simbhu was obscene and depicted women in a very bad taste. A case was registered and summons issued asking them to appear before the Race Course police station in Coimbatore on December 19. However, fearing arrest they both went underground and filed a petition in Madras High Court seeking stay on their arrest. But, Justice R. Subbaiah refused to grant stay and adjourned the case to January 5th.

Be prepared for alliance with regional party: Rahul Gandhi

No one knows how the Congress party’s future would be. But, many agree it would not be bright. Perhaps, its vice-president Rahul Gandhi also may foresees the blinking future of his party. As if he realized that his party can’t come to power on its own anywhere in India, he declared that Congress party is open for alliance with any regional parties in Uttar Pradesh state for the Assembly elections scheduled for 2017. He declared this at a meeting with his party workers held at Amethi on Wednesday.   There is plenty of time for UP Assembly elections. Hence, he can guide his party workers and leaders to prepare for it from now itself. Instead of readying the party to fight alone and win the elections, Rahul Gandhi is asking them to be prepared to work under some regional party. This is clearly underlining his inability to steer the party and lack of leadership qualities.   He seems is keen to strike a pact with the ruling Samajwadi party lead by Mulayam Singh Yadav. Actually, Mulyam’s son and UP State Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has made a proposal to Congress party few weeks ago.   He said “We are ready to join hands with the Congress party right now, if it agrees to make my father Mulayam Singh Yadav as Prime Minister of the country after next general elections. If, Rahul Gandhi agrees we will make him Deputy Prime Minister.”   Congress party has not responded to his proposal, but Rahul Gandhi’s latest announcement is like endorsing his proposal. Even if, Rahul Gandhi does not want to settle for Deputy Prime Minister Post, if he agrees for alliance with Samajwadi Party, it would be assumed as accepting his proposal. In fact, being the vice-president of the party Rahul Gandhi is expected to build confidence in his party leaders and workers. But, he himself lacks self-confidence and zeal to steer his party to victory. So is he may be talking about alliance with a regional party that wants him to work under it.

Does Pawan need Chandrababu’s permission to react?

Don’t why, YSR Congress party leader Ambati Rambabu has suddenly remembered Pawan Kalyan. He flayed Pawan Kalyan for not responding on call money and other issues that shook the state recently. He asked whether he needs the permission of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for responding on these issues. He flayed him for not paying a visit to call money victims in Vijayawada. He asked does he need a special helicopter for coming to Vijayawada. If so, Ambati suggested him to contact Dr. Kamineni Srinivas and he will arrange a helicopter for him.   YSR Congress party leaders always insist someone else to join their fight whether it is for Samaikyandhra or for special status, but they were never able to mobile support from others. Now also, they kick start an ugly battle with the state government over call money and sex racket issues.   It seems YSR Congress party is trying to politicize this issue rather than addressing the problem. Hence, its leaders are deliberately trying to drag Pawan Kalyan into this matter so as if he steps in, the matter will be highlighted and embarrasses the state government. Ambati Rambabu is also aware that Pawan Kalyan is currently busy with his film shooting.   Pawan Kalyan repeatedly told the people that he can’t come to media on day-to-day basis like other politicians because of his film shooting commitments. So is he not reacting on call money and other issues. Ambati may aware that even if Pawan Kalyan make some media statement on these matters the problems can’t be resolved with it overnight. In fact, there is government and police to handle such matters and Pawan Kalyan’s presence is not required in such matters.   In case if he wants to visit Vijayawada or anyplace in the state, he can visit on his own and doesn’t look for a helicopter like other politicians. YSR Congress party should focus its attention on how to address this problem rather than trying to politicize it and sling mud at others, if it is really concerned about the women victims of this call money shady business.
