Telangana Activists held for fake wedding

Nine Telangana agitators, belonging to the CPI-ML (New Democracy), including their leader, Mr K. Goverdhan, who conducted a fake marriage in Arya Samaj building to hoodwink cops were arrested by the CCS police on Tuesday for breaching the police cordon on Tank Bund during the Million March on March 10.
The accused had booked a function hall at Aryasamaj and hit the road raising proTelangana slogans after performing the marriage of a married couple, Mr Anjaneyulu and Ms Latha. According to the CCS deputy commissioner of police, Mr J. Satyanarayana, the activists were accused of involvement in damaging, burning of police vehicles and damaging video cameras during the march. The arrested include New Democracy secretariat member, Mr Suryam and Mr K. Goverdhan its state committee member.
Telangana auto drivers association convenor, Mr V. Kiran, POW state secretary Ms G. Jhansi, Progressive Youth League, state president, Mr M. Hanmsesh, PDSU state general secretary Mr N. Gowtham, IFTU city committee member Ms S. L. Padma, IFTU city president Ms M. Aruna, IFTU treasurer Ms G. Anuradha, 32, office receptionist at Karl Marx Bhavan, Mr M. Anjaiah, were among those arrested.
