Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath Speaking to media yesterday said that even if BJP do not supports the T-Bill, Congress can get it passed in the Parliament. But, he didn’t elaborate how his party is going to pass the bill without having sufficient MPs support. But, there was a general belief that it may try to pass it using voice vote technique, the way the bill has been rejected in the State Assembly.
TRS president K.Chandrashekar rao holds a meeting with T-JAC leaders at his home in New Delhi on yesterday. He revealed Congress strategy for passing the T-Bill. He said that Congress is determined to pass the bill. So, no one need to worry about the incidents happened in Lok Sabha. Congress may pass the bill with voice vote, if fails to secure BJP support to it, said KCR.
Perhaps, Kamalnath is stating that his party doesn’t need BJP support to the bill only after Law Ministry has made it clear that a simple majority in the house is enough to pass the bill. So, it may not hesitate to suspend those MPs and Ministers, who may try to disrupt the house proceedings during Monday and Tuesday. Congress high command may prefer to pass the vote-on-account budget bills first and then may take up the T-Bill for voice vote. But, if BJP insists for a debate on the bill, speaker has to accept its demand otherwise she may allow Congress to proceed for voting on the bill.
So, those Congress and other MPs from Seemandhra, who are planning to disrupt the house proceedings in a bid to stop the bill, may also change their strategy and participate in the voting and to vote against it.
