Can Congress oblige TRS merge with it

After declaring division of state, the next thing Congress is expecting is to see TRS merge with it. But, whether it can oblige the TRS chief to merge his party or not is solely depends on how the bifurcation process progresses in favour of Telangana and what packages it offers to him and to his party as a compensation. By now, KCR might have understood that if the Congress really puts effort, it can very easily turn tables on him at any given moment. More over, he is aware that the timing of the T announcement is perfectly helpful for Congress. It can attract the Telangana voters with its bifurcation process that will be spread over four to six months period, that is till the elections’ whistle blows.
Although, KCR wants to keep his party alive, the change in the situation may force him to merge his party with Congress or at least go for a poll alliance with it. He has kept his options open by demanding the Congress to introduce a bill on Telangana in the Parliament. But, it is learnt that back-door-discussions between the two parties are already in brisk progress and if Congress agrees to his terms and conditions, and offers an attractive package to him, then he may merge his party with Congress any time.
