 Homemade Body Butter

Homemade beauty products are a natural outlet for anyone that loves to cook or craft. Making a small batch to experiment, and if it clicks, making it regularly or even gifting...or one step higher, making many and many batches to start and run a small business is a wonderful idea..as these items don't involve chemicals, adding or removing the amounts to suit our skin and hair types doesn't cause any reactions.

Gifting will become easy too, as you don't have to run to the stores looking for items. Just buy interesting jars or tins to pack your homemade beauty products, embellish them with ribbons or pretty gift packing. One idea is baby-food glass jars. I stored and keep buying baby-food jars just to store my homemade creams and butters.

To make 4 oz. of BODY BUTTER at home:

1/4 cup grated cocoa butter
1 Tbsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp light sesame oil
1 Tbsp almond oil
1 Tbsp grated beeswax
Combine all ingredients in a heat-resistant container. On the stove top, gently heat the mixture until it begins to melt. Remove from heat and stir well until the wax and cocoa butter are melted and all ingredients are mixed together. pour into a clean container and allow to cool completely. If you want to make an organic boby butter, try to find organic ingredients and call yours organic too !

This rich, creamy butter makes a wonderful all-over body cream, as it contains four well-known skin conditioning oils.
