Fresh trouble for Salman Khan
on Nov 11, 2016
In some fresh trouble for Salman Khan, he was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. A bench comprising Justices A K Sikri and R Banumathi also said the matter will be given an expeditious hearing. The bench issued notice and sort response of the actor. The Rajasthan government had last month moved the plea against Salman's acquittal by High Court on the ground that the judgment suffered from "legal infirmities". Salman was accused of hunting two Chinkaras at Bhawad in Mathania near Jodhpur on September 26, 1998, and another Chinkara at Ghoda farms two days later on September 28, while he was in Jodhpur. But in its petition before the top court, the Rajasthan government has said that Salman Khan's lawyers had ample opportunity to cross examine Harish Dulani but they intentionally did not do so.
