Did Anyone Get Benefit Of Pelli Choopulu?

Pelli Choopulu is a biggest hit of small budgeted films. Most of cast and crew worked for the film was not so popular before the film was released. But, the humongous success provided them overnight stardom. Is it so? Then, what all the lead actors and technicians are doing now? I mean the projects they are working for. This may shock you. But, the truth is that, none has utilized the Pelli Choopulu craze to grab big ventures. Have a look at what are the individual projects Pelli Choopulu team is working for right now:
Hero Vijay Deverakonda: With no takers Dwaraka got postponed numerous times. Arjun Reddy which was started along with Pelli Choopulu is still in production stages. There were good number of projects announced, however most of them got shelved.
Heroine Reetu Varma: Nikhil starrer Keshava is the only Telugu film Reetu Varma doing right now, though she has couple of Tamil films such as China and Dhruva Natchathiram starring Vikram. Like many Telugu girls, Ritu too seems to be focusing on Tamil films as she is not getting ‘pleasing offers’ in Telugu.
Director Tharun Bhaskar: He had committed to other film with Pelli Choopulu producer Raj Kandukuri for which he is busy with script works for almost few months. Tharun even rejected Salman Khan’s offer to direct Hindi version of Pelli Choopulu, as to do a film with Raj.
Music Director Vivek Sagar: He had to wait for long time to sign a film after Pelli Choopulu. Sagar was roped in to score music for Naga Chaitanya’s film with debutant director Krishna Marimuthu. Vivek hasn’t signed any other project other than this.
Cinematographer Nagesh Banell: Jayammu Nischayammu Raa is the only film Nagesh Bell got to work post release of Pelli Choopulu. He is still looking for opportunities.
Interestingly, Priyadarshi Pullikonda who played a hilarious role in Pelli Choopulu has become a busy artist. He was recently seen in Ghazi and he got to work with superstar Mahesh Babu for Sambhavami being directed by AR Murugadoss.
