Amazon Prime Shows No Interest On Them

on Feb 7, 2018

Amazon Prime Video, Online streaming portal is fast spreading its business in India. It has bought many Telugu and other language films streaming rights by shelling out fancy prices.

Unfortunately, many of the Telugu films that the portal had bought earlier have turned out as disasters at box office. Thus, Amazon Prime Video is not keen on buying new films right now. They are indeed making deals if and only if buzz is high on films.

Interestingly, Prime Video hasn’t bought online rights of Varun Tej’s Tholi Prema, Sai Dharam Tej’s Inttelligent and Mohan Babu’s Gayatri which are releasing this week.

Actually, none of the above mentioned films are carrying positive buzz owing to different reasons. While, it’s been long time since SDT and Mohan Babu attained a hit, weak promotions caused damage for Varun Tej’s film, although the actor’s last movie Fidaa was a blockbuster.

Producers of recently released Telugu films have pocketed big amount which they have got through digital rights deal. Few upcoming star hero films were also sold to various online streaming portals for whopping price.

It is to be seen whether Amazon or other Online Portals show any interest on soon-to-be-released films after their theatrical outing!
