Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas combination is one of the craziest combinations right now in Tollywood. The duo already delivered two blockbusters with Jalsa and Attarintiki Daredi? Will Agnyaathavaasi be their hat trick hit? Let’s see…

Story:

A top business tycoon Govinda Bhargav aka Vinda (Boman Irani) and his son are shot dead by their rivals who wish to occupy CEO seat of his company AB Industries. Meanwhile, Abhisikth Bhargav (Pawan Kalyan), elder son of Vinda who was raised in a secret place comes into scene to find killers of his father and brother. He is completely supported by his step-mom Indrani Bhargav (Kushboo) and uncle (Tanikella Bharani). Entering the office, finding clues, hiding his identity, catching the culprits, then proving the world he’s the real heir of Industries and finally occupying CEO seat which is empty after his father’s demise are the biggest challenges ahead for Abhi. How he achieves all these things is rest of the story…

Positives:

1. Dialogues Here And There
2. Music

Negatives:

1. Wrongly Adopted Plot
2. Sluggish Narration
3. Lack Of Emotions
4. Direction

Analysis:

First of all, the film’s plot is grabbed from French movie Largo Winch and director Trivikram Srinivas tried to make it in his own style. The movie has shades of their last movie Attarintiki Daredi. Movie starts with a rich businessman Vinda getting killed by his rivals. Then, one after the other lead characters in the movie is introduced. Abhi, the real successor of AB industries who was raised far away comes to the city to find culprits of his dad and brother murderers and finish them. Usually, such concepts are dealt sensibly. But, Trivikram penned ordinary scenes to run the movie, until revealing face of villain of the movie in pre-interval. Second half is far bothering with sluggish narration. Flashback scenes were also not exciting. Varma-Sharma episode is the only entertaining element in second half. Pre-climax episode where Kushboo describes about PK was just okay.

Artists Performances:

Attarintiki Daredi train episode is the best in Pawan Kalyan’s career when it comes to exhibiting his acting prowess. That same episode remains his best, since PK gave ordinary performance in Agnyaathavaasi. He indeed went overboard in many of the scenes. Action sequences were not up to the mark and he didn’t put any efforts to shake his leg in any of the songs. Aadhi Pinishetty was given less space, though he made good impact. Kushboo was good as Pawan Kalyan’s step mom. Keerthy Suresh was decent and Anu Emmanuel oozed some oomph. Boman Irani was cool as PK’s father. Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma provided some laughs here and there. Vennela Kishore was okay. Sampath Raj was wasted. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:

Director Trivikram Srinivas seems to have relaxed completely. Neither the story was unique, nor was the narration engaging. We usually expect some magical dialogues from Trivikram. But, the film hardly has any such dialogues. Screenplay is sluggish from start to end. Anirudh Ravichander’s album has some melody tunes, but they don’t appear astonishing on screen due to bad picturization. His re-recording work is mediocre. Manikandan’s cinematography is colorful. Editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao forgot to chop off many scenes, especially in second half. Production values of Haarika & Hassine Creations are top notch.

Verdict:

Agnyaathavaasi hardly has any pleasing elements for fans. Due to sluggish narration, even family audience may not like the movie. Openings will be huge because of huge advance bookings, but the movie may not have long run at BO.

TeluguOne Perspective:

Plan-B means skip the movie

Rating: 2/5
