Naga Chaitanya’s last couple of films were hits. Thus, expectations were high on Yuddham Sharanam. What’s more, Srikanth made comeback as villain with the film. Let’s see whether the movie reached the expectations or not…

Story:

Arjun (Naga Chaitanya) leads happy life with his family. He has caring parents, loving sisters, well-supporting brother-in-law, a nephew and a family friend Anjali (Lavanya Tripathi) also join them. In no time, a strong relationship develops between Arjun and Anjali. When things go smoothly, one incident on Arjun parent’s 30th anniversary causes big and incurable damage. What is it? Why terrorists attack in the city? Who are involved in the matter? How Arjun reacts?

Positives:

1. Family bonding in first half
2. Naga Chaitanya, Lavanya Chemistry

Negatives:

1. Second Half
2. Predictable Twists
3. Srikanth Wasted
4. Pathetic Ending

Analysis:

Movie starts with a politician Vinod Kumar and his business partners

Naga Chaitanya searching for his missing parents along with his friends. He roams in the city all the night and complaints to police. But, nothing helps him to find them. Then, movie goes to flash back mode with introduction of Chay parents Rao Ramesh, Revathi, friends and sisters. In the very first episodes we get clarity on Rao Ramesh, Revathi characters and how social responsible persons they are. Lavanya Tripathi joins the family, since she wants to practice as doctor at Revathi. Chay falls in love with Lavanya in first sight and proposes her immediately. Lavanya too accepts his proposal. So, life’s going smoothly for Chay. Family bonding, emotions were shown precisely. One particular incident of Chay saving a pregnant lady’s life with help of technology was good. However, one incident disturbs his life completely. His parents go missing on their marriage anniversary. And they are found dead. Meanwhile, bomb blasts occur in the city in few places. Anti-terrorists department is in search of the man behind the blasts. Actually, there’s a master plan behind the bomb blasts. The purpose is to save a politician and his business partners from an ongoing issue. While first half shows Chay’s emotions with his family and girlfriend, second half is how the protagonist takes revenge on his parents’ murder. Though there were very few pleasing elements in first half, movie turns unbearable in second half with chasings and fights.

Artists Performances:

Naga Chaitanya is good as an ambitious guy and looked handsome. He was good in emotional sequences. His sequences with his parents were touchy. Lavanya Tripathi was gorgeous in traditional and trendy outfits. Chemistry between the lead pair was rocking. Rao Ramesh and Revathi were the biggest assets of the film. Srikanth was wasted completely. Neither he has got enough of space to exhibit his villainy acts, nor did he give exceptional performance. Murali Sharma is good as special officer and Priyadarshi Pullikonda hasn’t got much to perform. Other artists were okay.

Technical Aspect:

Director Krishna Marimuthu tried to blend two genres in the film. However, he botched to do his job efficiently. Though there were few feel good emotions in the first half, there’s nothing much to describe in the second half. Music by Vivek Sagar is mediocre and cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy is good. Production values of Vaarahi Chalana Chitram are good.

Verdict:

Yuddham Sharanam is not a worth watching film. Just skip it!
