The upcoming biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni features actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. The trailer of 'MS Dhoni —The Untold Story' has not only been lauded by film critics and cricketer loving fans but also by Dhoni's father, Pan Singh. In the biopic of Dhoni, Anupam Kher plays the father of the Indian cricketer.
When the actor met Pan Singh Dhoni, he realised he had to lose weight to fit the character and underwent a “personal journey”, without trying to “observe” anything from him. “I didn’t do that because this is not a father I didn’t know. My father was like that, friend’s father was like that.
I’ve seen so many middle-class, lower middle-class fathers who are very ordinary people the actor says. Each time the trailer plays on television, Sr. Dhoni becomes emotional, thinking about the challenges his son faced on his way to stardom and success. Apparently, the cricketer's family is mighty impressed with actor Sushant Singh Rajput's portrayal of their son in the biopic.
