Will Rajamouli Father Score His First Hit?

on Sep 13, 2017

Star director Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad is one of the most sought after writers in India. Most of the films he penned for turned out as commercial hits. In fact, Vijayendra Prasad was the writer for most of Rajamouli films such as Chatrapathi, Vikramarkudu, Eega, Magadheera, Baahubali etc.

Although he’s one of the most successful writers, Vijayendra Prasad failed as director. His first movie as director Arthangi released in 1996 was a flop. His second directorial Sri Krishna was also a disaster. Then, Vijayendra Prasad got to direct Akkineni Nagarjuna in Rajanna which was an average grosser.

Vijayendra Prasad took some gap and worked for several films as writer. His maiden Hindi film as writer Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a blockbuster. He provided screenplay for Krish directing Hindi movie Manikarnika, which is about The Queen Of Jhansi.

Interim, Vijayendra Prasad is waiting for the release of his latest directorial Srivalli which is made with new artists. Miss India Neha Hinge played lead role in the film which is about a neuroscientist Srivalli who undergoes an experiment about brain wave simulation.

The story revolves around the effects and the repercussions she faces once her brain starts reacting to the experiment. Srivalli loses track of the past, present and future unable to distinguish between simulation and reality leading to thrilling circumstances.

Vijayendra Prasad says that reason behind delay in release of the movie was it had extensive graphical work. Since, makers are promoting the movie as it is from the writer of Baahubali, there is good buzz on it. Let’s see whether Vijeyendra Prasad will prove himself as director this time or not…
