Vellipomakey is a small time film made of shoe-strong budget. Interest has been created on the film as Dil Raju released it under his Sri Venkateswara Creations. Let’s see whether Vellipomakey is worth watching in theaters or not…

Story:
A bachelor guy Chandu (Vishvak Sen) works for an animation company, where his two roommates are also working. While his friends lead happy life, since they have girlfriends, the introvert Chandu won’t mingle with girls that easily, so fails to find a girl for him. A new girl named Shruti (Supraja) joins the office and in no time she becomes a good friend to Chandu. One day, Chandu requests Shruti to come out for coffee date, for which she replies saying she has a boyfriend already. Later, Chandu meets another girl named Swetha (Swetha) who happens to be his Facebook friend. Swetha is not a regular girl and she has a problem. When Chandu’s relationship with Swetha becomes strong, she leaves him all of the sudden. And in the meantime, Shruti tells the truth to Chandu that she has no boyfriend and tries to become close with him. What will Chandu do now? Where did Swetha go? What’s her problem? Whom Chandu settles with?

Positives:
Nothing Much

Negatives:
Almost Everything

Analysis:
Vellipomakey is about a young bachelor Chandu who is an introvert. He resides in an apartment with his two office colleagues. While one of his friends is in serious romantic relationship with his girlfriend, other guy is not committed and changes his girlfriend frequently. Chandu doesn’t like the fact of friends regular get-together at a restaurant, as he goes single there, wherein his friends visit the place along with their girlfriends. Then, Chandu meets a girl named Shruti. When he thought of proposing his love to her, she puts a speed break by telling him she has a boyfriend. This incident breaks his heart. When Chandu tries to come out of the situation, he happens to meet a Facebook friend named Swetha who is an atypical girl with a psychological disorder. Since it is very new to Chandu, he enjoys Swetha’s company. But, things turn too complicated for him as he hardly goes to office and is shamed by his boss for not meeting deadlines for projects. When we question our mind, what exactly was happening, movie comes to half end. Until here, we hardly find any pleasing moments. Neither any love stories please us nor do any other emotions connect to us. Rest of the story is how Chandu deals with the situations and love. No explanation is given on why Swetha left Chandu. And we don’t get whether Shruti is adoring Chandu or not.

Artists Performances:
Most of the artists in the film are seen with their respective single expression. Lead actor Vishvak Sen is most of the times seen adjusting his spectacles and hardly speak anything. His close friend played by an unknown artist was good. Supraja is okay and Swetha was boring. Swetha appeared like a person with real mental disorder. Other artists were tolerable.

Technical Aspect:
Director Ali Mahammad penned a water thin story and filled the two hour movie with many boring scenes. Neither his writing nor his making was convincing. In fact, Vellipomakey should have been boring, even if it was made as a short film or a documentary, since there’s no essence in the movie. Prashanth R Vihari’s music was decent. Thankfully, the film didn’t have any songs. Camera work was mediocre. Production values are pretty average.

Verdict:
Vellipomakey has no single pleasing element, so better skipping this movie.
