Telugu Cinema Big Slap To Bollywood

Which is the biggest film industry in India? The common answer would be Bollywood. But, folks, things have been changed swiftly with Telugu Cinema is growing bigger and bigger every year. We can proudly say that, Tollywood is the biggest industry in India today as no other Hindi or other language film is in top 4 in highest day one grossing movies list for the year 2017 so far. 

Overall, out of 15 movies, there are 6 Telugu movies. Young Tiger Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa has also joined the list with 40 crores gross on day one. And this is second film for Jr NTR whose last movie Janatha Garage minted Rs 36.48 Cr gross.

Baahubali 2, Khaidi No 150, Jai Lava Kusa and Katamarayudu are the top 4 highest day one grossers in India. Surprisingly, no single Bollywood, Kollywood or other language film is in the list. Tollywood gives big slap to those who call Bollywood as the biggest industry in India. What’s more, Hindi filmmakers are enthusiastic on remaking few Telugu super hits of this year in Bollywood.
