Salman's bodyguard booked for assault

Actor Salman Khan’s bodyguard Gurmeet Singh alias Shera has been booked for allegedly beating up a staff at a pub in Vile Parle, Mumbai, late Tuesday night. He allegedly broke a man's collar bone and threatened him with a gun, has been picked up by the police. He is being taken to Mumbai's DN Nagar police station for questioning and is likely to be arrested. The incident took place Tuesday night after Shera got into a scuffle with Attar Umar Qureshi on Link road, with whom he also had a heated argument earlier over the phone, senior police inspector Dhanaji Nalawade of DN Nagar police station told PTI. Shera reportedly went on to beat up Qureshi. Subsequently, the victim approached the police station and filed a complaint after which Shera was booked under section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 326 of the IPC, the inspector said. Shera has been guarding Salman for over 18 years and is a close aide of his 'malik'. The actor even dedicated his film Bodyguard to Shera.
