SCOOP: Tickets Scam To Kill Baahubali

on Jul 13, 2015

A person spending 100 rupees on a ticket will have lesser expectations from a film, but if the same person pays nearly 2000 rupees to buy the ticket, then surely he will feel like a decider of the film. Looking at the way Baahubali got a bit of negative talk in Telugu circuits, it looks like there is some unearthed scam behind it.

Despite of the top claims made by some critics and film persons that the film has a slow first half, boring climax and all, Baahubali is continuing its storm at box office. With around 160 crores gross collection from 3 days at box office, Baahubali is already a giant that has swept all the existing records in the name of films like Attarintiki Daredi and Magadheera. Keep the records aside, because for the kind of heavy release this film has, no doubt it has to shatter records. But how come a mixed talk has risen on first day?

Some say that few big distributors have intentionally raked up ticket prices such that they could collect more in the opening weekend. Upon hearing reports from few unknown critics that the film is going to bite dust at box office, these distributors felt both sad for investing so much on the film and also they developed greed to pocket more money in first week alone to minimise their losses. That led to hiking of ticket rates, rather illegally, thereby affecting the mindsets of audiences. Everyone started believing that the film is not so interesting, for that reason they upped ticket rates. But this ticket-scam ended up as a farce as the film continues to woo audiences with immense appeal straight from first day first show.

In Hindi circuits, like it is never seen before for any dubbing film, Baahubali’s collections are increasing with each passing day. Even in Telugu circuits, the collections are rock steady and there will be no litmus test for the film on Monday too. Because today almost all the four shows in major A centres are housefull, while B & C centres are also reporting full crowds.
