Review: Premam

on Oct 7, 2016

Do you want to know if the film “Premam”, which has been directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is a hit or a miss at the Tollywood box office? Come let us see.

Cast and Crew:
Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Hassan Anupama Parameshwaran and Madonna Sebastian have been casted to play the lead roles in the film which has been produced by Vamshi Suryadeva on Sithara Entertainments banner and for which the music has been composed by Rajesh Murgeshan.

Story:
The film Premam is a three phase love story of a normal individual. Vikram (Naga Chaitanya) loves Suma during his child hood and teenage days. Then he loves Sitara in his youth and later Sindhu comes into his life. To know Vikram’s journey and to know the last stage of the story one should watch the film.

Talent of the cast:
Premam is one of the best films in Naga Chaitanya’s career so far. He played three different types of roles and proved his talent with his performance. Chandu attracted the audience with the help of his dialogues which would impress and satisfy Naga Chaitanya’s fans. Shruti is a complete mismatch for the film but her solo performance was great. The roles of Madonna and Anupama don’t have much importance when compared to Shruti’s role. The roles of Srinivas Reddy and Praveen entertained the audience. Nagarjuna’s and Venkatesh’s guest appearance at the end is a plus point for the movie.

Technology:
The song “Evare” became famous as soon as it was released. The visuals and the songs were good. Camera played an important role in showing the film as a visual feast. Second half should have been trimmed by the director as it feels a bit lengthy. The audience who already watched the Malayalam version will not be able to experience the same.

Rating: 3.25
