Ravi Teja Power Story:

Power is the story of a person with ideology and his reverse method to clean the society and corruption. The story begins in Kolkata with ACP Baldev Sahay (Ravi Teja) becoming popular for his corruption and in that process he rescues a criminal Ganguly (Sampath) from the cops before he is taken to court. The home minister Jayvardhan (Mukesh Rishi) is looking out for Ganguly. But an accident happens and Baldev is considered dead. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, Tirupathi’s (Ravi Teja) only dream is to become a cop and he keeps helping his brother-in-law Animuthyam (Brahmanandam) who is a real cop. His love life also starts by meeting Nirupama (Hansika). Twist occurs when Jayvardhan notices Tirupathi on TV and he is exactly like Baldev. What happens after that forms the story.

Ravi Teja Power Analysis:

Raviteja wants to repeat as powerful as Vikramarkudu but ‘Power’ got all loose ends making the flick stand behind by many digits. Though story seems interesting at some points, director failed to connect the dots with conviction, forget logic for god’s sake. He defied all logics to merge the two characters of Ravi into one with a silly logic, which hit straight on the face.

Ravi Teja Power Performances:

Ravi Teja carries out his role to perfection and there are no flaws from his end. The two shades he projected as a cop and an aspiring cop is good. Hansika has toned her body very well and she has developed a good ease in front of camera. In terms of glamour, her contribution is good. Regina had a brief role but she made good use of it. Her acting potential was not used to the fullest. The comedy support from Brahmanandam, Saptagiri was sufficient. For a popular villain like Mukesh Rushi, this is usual yet again. Prakash Raj is wasted.

Ravi Teja Power Direction:

Though this is his debut attempt, K S Ravindra has shown a lot of conviction in his idea and some scenes contained good intelligence and wit. However his direction skills need to be polished a little as he failed to sustain key emotions for a long. Bobby’s major weakness is failing to conceive a scene in a dramatic way that is quintessential for commercial flicks.

Ravi Teja Power Cinematography:

Both the cinematographers have done a very good job in providing the right coloration along with visual appeal. The locales were also captured rightly.

Ravi Teja Power Music:

Thaman has surely lost his magic touch. Neither songs nor re-recording have created any special impact. Songs are just passable while background is good sometimes and poor at many places. In a bid to score for more movies in less time, Thaman is giving up his quality.

Plus points

Ravi Teja

Comedy in first half

Minus points

Second half

Routine story

Bottomline: Ravi Teja's performance and first half scenes are the plus points of the film. High emotional quotient is one of the minus points of "Power." The film has nothing new to offer and is just a routine mass entertainer.

RATING: 2.5/5
