Rajni's introduction scene in 'Kabali' leaked

on Jul 21, 2016

The makers of the magnum opus movie 'Kabali' were in for a shock after reports started coming in that the introduction scene of superstar Rajinikanth in the film has been leaked online. Apparently a video clip featuring Rajinikanth is already doing rounds on social media. The scene, with English sub-titles, has already gone viral on the message sharing platform.

The Whatsapp leak comes on the back of rumours that Kabali was illegally available on the web for downloading. However, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu had said at the time, "These are just rumours and as far as I know, so far there has been no leak. We are taking all efforts to block over 100 pirate sites.” In fact, Thanu had filed a petition in the Madras High Court to fight against piracy, following which the HC had restrained 169 Internet Service Providers (ISP) from permitting illegal downloads of Kabali.

Reportedly, the film had a special screening with actor Rajinikanth in the US yesterday (June 20). Now that the introductory scene has been leaked online, one might have to assume that if someone present at the screening had allegedly leaked the scene. Meanwhile, Kabali will officially premiere tonight (21 July) in countries like Malaysia and Singapore, with screenings planned for around 5 pm India time.
