Over Hype Is Fatal For Baahubali

on Jul 1, 2015

Just 10 more days, we’ll be witnessing the visual wonder “Baahubali” on silver screen. Rajamouli has garnered so much hype for the movie that there is no need of any commercial promotion on small screen to gather crowds for day one. Without spending single penny, the film’s makers are able to get into roots of audiences about the movie’s arrival. Is this ‘hype’ a safe one? Let’s debate.

Latest reports we hear is that Censor Board members who have watched the film to certify are not all happy with the movie. Baahubali triggered mixed reactions from officials. While some officials felt it was good, others laughed at the needless hype for this film. When a big film like Baahuabli is sent for clearance, producers generally send a copy without proper background music and poor quality, so that might have hampered viewing experience. But Censor officials are quick to correct, “We watch almost every big movie in the same manner. Don't we know which works or not?”.

Keep this Censor talk aside, but the overall heaping hype around the movie will upset movie lovers in for the slightest uneasiness in the flick. On a whole, even trade pundits feel that Baahubali has gotten extra hype than needed and that will surely excite other-language movie goers but not telugus. If they find any similarities between Baahubali and other Rajamouli’s movies, then it’s going to be a risky proportion.
