Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the biggest actors in India with immense fans frenzy in all the territories. Usually, Telugu distributors show extra interest to buy theatrical rights of Rajinikanth films. Curiously, there are no takers for Rajinikanth’s upcoming film.
As we all know, Asian Films has acquired theatrical rights of Rajinikanth’s latest film 2.0 for whopping price of Rs 90 crores. Nonetheless, distributors are not in hurry to buy Rajinikanth’s other film Kaala owing to various reasons.
First of all, buzz is not so high on Kaala like other films of Rajinikanth usually generate. The film doesn’t seem to touch Telugu audience sensibilities. Moreover, last few films of Rajinikanth are commercial flops. Above all, Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush who is producer of Kaala is demanding huge for Telugu rights. Hence, all these factors are causing Kaala unsold in Telugu.
Meanwhile, Kaala which is in last leg of production will hit the screens on April 27th.
