Telugu Films To Watch Out For In 2017

Most of Telugu stars are coming up with their respective films in 2017. Here is the list of Telugu films to watch out for in the year:

Khaidi No 150:

This is one of the much awaited films as it marks Chiranjeevi’s comeback and is 150th project of the megastar. Directed by VV Vinayak, Khaidi No 150 is all set for release during Sankranthi.

Gautamiputra Satakarni:

This film marks Balakrishna’s 100th. Balakrishna cleverly picked a historical film which is biopic of 2nd century CE Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni. Trailer and songs of the film got optimistic response. Directed by Krish, GPSK is scheduled for release on January 12th for Sankranthi.

Om Namo Venkatesaya:

Nagarjuna and K Raghavendra Rao duo worked together for several films out of which most of them were super hits. Few devotional films in their combo such as Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu etc. were critically acclaimed and commercially successful. So, expectations are high on their latest devotional film Om Namo Venkatesaya, which is based on the life of godman Hathiram Baba. This movie is slated for release on February 10th.

Baahubali:

The Conclusion: We know how massive hit Baahubali: The Beginning was. In a recent survey, Baahubali 2 has got more than half of votes in a poll of most awaited Indian film in 2017. This shows craze on the film. Apparently, entire nation is anticipating to know, why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? The SS Rajamouli directed and Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamannah starrer movie is all set to hit the screens on April 28, 2017.

Mahesh 23:

Sambhavami is working title of Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss’s film. While Mahesh is one of successful stars in south, Murugadoss is known for making massive hits. Sambhavami is being made as Telugu-Tamil bilingual and is likely to release in summer. Made on a budget of Rs 90 crores, this film is sure to create wonders at box office.

Katamarayudu:

Though this is remake of Tamil movie Veeram, it’s still one of the much awaited flicks, as it has Power Star Pawan Kalyan in lead role. Previously, Pawan scored hits with few remakes such as Suswagatham, Thammudu, Kushi and Gabbar Singh. It is to be seen whether Katamarayudu will join the list or not!

Duvvada Jagannadham:

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is emerging as one of the top stars in the industry with back to back hits. His last movie Sarrainodu ended as fourth biggest grosser in tollywood. So, audiences are keen about what kind of a film Allu Arjun will next be coming up with. Being directed by Harish Shankar, Duvvada Jagannadham is expected to be another special film from Bunny.

Keshava:

Young hero Nikhil is choosing experimental films. His new film Keshava is billed to be a revenge drama in the lines of Ananthapuram. Nkhil’s last movie Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada was a super hit. So, Keshava is one of the films to be watched out in 2017.

Ram Charan-Sukumar Film:

The mass Ram Charan and the class director Sukumar are joining hands for a rural backdrop film set in 90’s. What’s more, Charan is said to be playing the role of a partially deaf person. It will be interesting to see Charan in the role.

Jr NTR-Bobby:

For the first time, NTR is rumored to be playing triple roles in his next film to be directed by Bobby. Though the director’s last movie Sardaar Gabbar Singh was an epic disaster, there is curiosity over the project as NTR is picking only good subjects of late. Moreover, he is in career best form with hat trick hits- Temper, Nannaku Prematho and Janatha Garage.

Pawan-Trivikram Film:

Jalsa was an above average grosser and Attarintiki Daredi was an industry hit. With the Pawan-Trivikram duo teaming up for the third time, mega fans are waiting early for the movie which will go on floors in March and set for release later in 2017.
