Several heroines debuted this year made their mark in Tollywood. Here is the list of emerging actresses who impressed Telugu spectators with their performance as well as gorgeousness.
Keerthy Suresh:
The Malayalam beauty ventured into Tollywood with the successful film Nenu Sailaja co-starring Ram. She was praised for her natural acting and cute looks. Keerthy is presently doing Nani’s Nenu Local and has bagged a film opposite Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Keerthy has handful projects in Tamil. She is truly the most emerging actress in south cinema.
Mehrene Kaur Peerzada:
The chubby Punjabi kudi entered Telugu cinema with Nani’s Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha. Mehreen has expressive face and she made many youngsters her admirers with charming smile. The actress is presently doing a film with Sundeep Kishan and she is being considered for Ravi Teja’s new film.
Anupama Parameswaran:
The curly haired beauty had two releases this year and she played two dissimilar roles in these films. While she played an haughty girl in Trivikram directed A Aa, she was seen as an innocent school-going girl in Naga Chaitanya’s Premam. The short beauty impressed audience as well as critics with her screen presence in both the films. Anupama is presently waiting for the release of Shatamanam Bhavati. She has signed Ram Charan’s new film with director Sukumar.
Niveda Thomas:
When it is a Nani starrer film, it is tough for heroines to divert attention of audience on them. Niveda Thomas pulled off a splendid performance in Gentleman. She got equal marks with Nani for her realistic acting. Niveda is in talks for few upcoming Telugu films. As of now, she hasn’t officially signed any new Telugu film.
Ritu Varma:
The Hyderabad based actress previously acted in few Telugu films, but Pelli Choopulu provided her big break. Ritu and Vijay Deverakonda looked adorable together in the film. Ritu appeared like a Padaharanala Telugu Ammayi. Post release of Pelli Choopulu, Ritu was flooded with offers, but she is picking only good ones. Currently, Ritu is working with Nikhil for Kesava.
Anu Emmanuel:
She is pretty and bears an astonishing resemblance to Ileana. Anu Emmanuel debuted with Nani’s Majnu. Though she didn’t get much to perform in the film, she got some plum offers post release of Majnu and one among them is Pawan Kalyan’s 25th film with Trivikram Srinivas. Anu is also part of Gopichand’s Oxygen and Raj Tarun’s Beware Of Kittu.
Nandita Swetha:
The Sandalwood actress who is already a popular star in Tamil has made impressive debut in Telugu with Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada. Everybody spoke more about Nandita, than the film’s lead hero Nikhil. She horrified with her performance. Though she is a busy actress in Tamil, she said to focus fully on Tollywood.
Popular anchors Anasuya and Rashmi Gautham scored hits this year with Kshanam and Guntur Talkies respectively. While Anasuya is waiting for good roles, Rashmi signed many films came her way. With continuous flops, Rashmi is now concentrating on TV shows. On the flip side, Telugu filmmakers are not keen to sign the married lady Anasuya to play lead heroine roles.
